mloritan grew up in Snohomish County, Washington — just north of Seattle — and started recording his music in the autumn of 1997 at 17 years old. That origin point stuck. He's been known as "97 Kevin" ever since.
His music occupies the atmospheric edges of indie and alternative — unhurried, moody, and built for dark mornings. The catalog spans the restless drift of The Inertia Carries Her to Africa (2022) through the layered textures of Feel Ocean Light (2024) to his most ambitious release yet, Thick Time Vacuum (2025) — 16 tracks and over an hour of music that feels like time bending in on itself.
I grew up in Snohomish County, Washington and started recording in the autumn of 1997 — I have been branded as 97 Kevin since then.
